A very successful vinitaly: we told about piwi, the environment and the value of sustainability for us

Our labels featured at Vinitaly 2023 were displayed in an even larger booth where a light installation composed of our "m-uses" made all our organic wines shine with its "diamonds."

Vinitaly's real big, unrestricted comeback has finally arrived and it has also flown: the 55th edition of Vinitaly closes with 93 thousand total attendance, up 5.7 percent from 88 thousand in the 2022 edition, with the arrival of 29,600 buyers from abroad, up 20 percent from last year's 25 thousand (source: Travelquotidiano.com - April 13, 2023).

This was certainly a very stimulating and positive edition with an international scope that gave us the opportunity to connect not only with overseas importers but also with passionate winelovers who are increasingly interested in learning more about sustainability issues in viticulture.

Quality and typicality, are no longer enough: as is now clear, sustainability is also increasingly a "trademark." According to research by Deolitte Italia, 26% of Italians buy quality food, compared to 22% who buy low-cost products. Thirty-seven percent prefer to buy fresh products, compared to 14 percent who buy processed products. In fact, health and well-being determine the direction of choice: 80 percent of consumers identify health as the determining variable for purchases over price, and for 91 percent of respondents, it is sustainability. These are the trends that emerged from "Sol & Agrifood," Veronafiere's quality agri-food exhibition, with the organic fair "B/Open," in recent days in Verona, also in view of the European Commission's definition of the relevant regulation (source: WineNews- April 11, 2023).

THE MASTERCLASS DEDICATED TO PIWI WINES

One of the interests developed during this Vinitaly is definitely the interest in resistant grape varieties and the PIWI wines.
We know the importance of clearly and accurately communicating the peculiarities of these particular vines, which is why we decided to bring our PIWI wines to the stage at Vinitaly by organizing a masterclass with extremely positive feedback in which we recounted our experience in the field, addressing the issues of sustainability in organic farming and the diminishing environmental impact that these hardy vines really have on today's agriculture."
We are happy to have helped do our part to bring experts and winelovers closer to the world of PiWI wines. Special thanks to our event host Filippo Bartolotta, and to Nicola Biasi and Alexander Morandell for their valuable contributions in sharing their experiences in this yet-to-be-discovered world.
