About Us

A life choice, the Organic

Organic Choice
Mission
Family

A life choice,
the biological one

Organic is a word that carries with it very deep concepts of respect, knowledge, well-being and collaboration. Our reality is dynamic and traveling toward a green future. In this clean and unspoiled nature, we do what we do best: we respect it.

Our Organic Wine

Drinking an organic wine means drinking a wine that has respect for the environment

Choosing organic for us means deciding to never stop learning, accepting that each vintage will still be different from the next, and being aware that only deep knowledge of the plant will get you

Will help defend it. Drinking an organic wine means drinking a wine that is respectful of the environment that generated it, a wine that will be equally mindful of the health of our consumers.

"Doing organic means prevention, and the solutions, every time, nature itself offers them to you."

BIO Roots Winery

More than 35 vintages have passed

"I remember my grandfather working his land and being healthy. I always wanted to live like that. I feel like a farmer and that's why I keep the tradition."

"I chose to join my father at the helm of our farm in 1981, beginning to experiment with alternative methods to chemistry such as integrated and guided pest management. More than 35 grape harvests have passed since that time and I feel as if I have lived as many lives; each vintage, each harvest is an adventure in itself, tiring, unique and unforgettable: there were many of us harvesting grapes, we were family. It was a time of celebration and fatigue was never felt. We would all wait for Grandma Giselda to bring us a snack, which most of the time consisted of a good sandwich and a "goto de quel bon." My dad Gino would lead the choirs and that "Barba" from which the name of our prestigious Malanotte DOCG - Il Barbarossa was born."

- remembrance of Settimo Pizzolato.

The Pizzolato family

While document evidence reports the presence of the Pizzolato family in Villorba as early as the 1719 Estimo, for more than five generations the family of Settimo has lived in the large mansion with its mighty arches.

Today our family as well as our winery consists of Settimo, owner of the winery, his children, Federico and Stefania and his wife Sabrina with little Edoardo.
