Our Sustainability Month has come to a close by presenting our Social Report 2022, now available on our website. Also downloadable and readable are our Corporate Highlights.

It was an educational and emotion-filled experience last Thursday in which we concluded our month dedicated to sustainability by presenting the SOCIAL REPORT 2022. It was a great opportunity for us: we told all our stakeholders about the policies and commitments we have made so far and the impact our activity has on the social and environmental context.

"We have believed in organic, even before everyone else, working hard not only in the vineyard, for example with the PIWI resistant vines project, our sustainability ambassadors, but more generally through the running of the company according to our Social Report. For us, sustainability must be a shared value, an integral part of a growing corporate awareness. That is why we work on corporate welfare projects that aim to put our employees at the center. We believe that their passions, skills and the uniqueness they represent are the key to success." - comments Sabrina Rodelli, export manager.

The conference opened with a letter of congratulations for our "green" journey from President Luca Zaia. We continued with a journey through time in which Aurelio Bauknecht, author of the business culture podcast "Stories from the Markets," explained how the concept of sustainability has evolved over time and how recent it is such an important word. Following was a talk by Sabrina Rodelli, our export manager, who emphasized how crucial it is to have good communication of sustainability in foreign markets as well.

"Corporate sustainability is no longer just an ethical choice, but both a necessity and an opportunity to increase corporate competitiveness, especially abroad, where organic and environmental and social sustainability are an increasingly important aspect guiding consumer choices. Just think that, for example, in Northern Europe on the shelf in a few years we will have only sustainable wines. So we need to focus on the less ready markets and talk to them about the importance of the process that leads to these products"-Sabrina Rodelli concludes.

We also reflected together with Federico Rossi, head of strategy at communications hub Sintesi Factory, on the now rampant issue of "green washing" with practical and operational insights to ward off this phenomenon.
At the conclusion of the conference, Serena Zanatta, from the communication team, spoke about what sustainability communication practices have been implemented over the years at our winery. We highlighted the highlights of the social report (BROWSE THE HIGHLIGHTS HERE) also discussing them with Alessandro Dussin, President of Villorba City Council, Silvia Dal Cin and Walter Bertin of Confindustria Veneto Est.

At the end of the lecture, a guided tour of the winery and the exhibition Eco Rete sostenibile by Ricrearti, the collection of artworks created from the processing waste of the Treviso companies belonging to the Sustainability Group of Confindustria Veneto Est, were an opportunity to discover the principles of organic farming through a tour throughout the estate, with a final toast of our organic wines.
